BEST TRICK IN LINKING RING AWARDS

The Howard Bamman Trophy for the BEST TRICK published in The Linking Ring between August 2001 and July 2002 has just been awarded to Vanni Pule` from Malta. The presentation was held during the I.B.M. Convention banquet in San Diego, California. The Linking Ring is the magazine officially published by the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Vanni Pule` is also President and Territorial Vice-President of the Malta Ring 202. This award consists of a heavy gold plated statue depicting a classical magical figure - The Colonial Conjuror owned by H. Adrian Smith. The presentation was made by the editor, Phil Wilmarth in the presence of the outgoing President, Dr. Robert Escher and the new President, Michael E. Stratma. The trick chosen is the vanish and reappearance of a borrowed and signed bill inside the middle of a cut and restored rope. This trick was one out of a number of original routines by Vanni Pule` published in the August 2001 issue.
